Research and Evaluation Services

The Utah Education Policy Center is committed to helping schools, districts, policymakers, community organizations, and other agencies understand whether educational programs and policies are doing what they were expected to do, whether they are implemented as they were intended, and how they can be improved. To this end, the Policy Center offers evaluation and research services to a range of clients including the state legislature, state office of education, universities, school districts, and nonprofit organizations and associations.

Survey Research Services
The UEPC is available to assist with all aspects of survey work including assistance with research techniques, questionnaire design, web surveys, data processing and analysis, report writing, and other consulting services as needed. Below is a brief description of the various survey research services that we provide.

• Survey Design. We can advise on the design of appropriate questionnaires.

• Survey Publication. Once created, questionnaires can be printed, published online, or distributed as e-mail attachments.

• Response Management. We can manage online surveys, which includes sending appropriate reminders and incentives if required.

• Data Entry. Coding or scanning of paper surveys and collation of data from online surveys.

• Analysis & Report Writing. We can provide standard charts and tables as well as complete project reports.

• Data Management. Data can be supplied in a number of different forms for use with different software, such as Excel and SPSS.

• Quality Control. We work closely with clients to ensure high quality work. We also ensure that all data are confidential and housed using a secure server.

• Additional Consulting Services. We are available for projects of any size and duration.
